I joined Navis in 2010 as a new rookie. I found Gary Chua while searching for a real estate agency to join.

I know many of my friends are in this trade but I preferred to explore and learn from someone I am not familiar with.

As a newcomer, I knew nothing and was not anywhere near a top producer, but Gary remembered my name among the 800 over agents he had at that time.

He would call out to me when he sees me in the office. He even talked to me and asked me how I was doing. To me, a “boss” of his calibre only takes note of the top-producing agents and will not take notice of a rookie like me, but he showed that he does care and I matter.

In 2011, due to some wrong partnership and wrong advice, I received a complaint from CEA. Instead of shunning away from responsibility, Gary sat me down and asked me what happened exactly. He helped to mediate between our company’s legal department and CEA. I am grateful for his help.

I am a very independent person and most of the time I do not need someone to hand-hold me, but I am glad that whenever I needed advice, Gary is there for me. Even if he can’t help directly in certain situations, he will make sure to connect me with the right person.

Gary is very down to earth and there’s no “air” about him, I feel totally comfortable to share with him whatever I am struggling with or the victories that I have obtained.
